How the process works
Six steps. The most important one: the Treasury pays you directly, never us.
We identify a claim in your name
We search state Treasury unclaimed property records and match a claim to you through lawful public-record research.
We contact you
You receive a letter, email, or call from Steward with details about the property we found.
You verify your identity
You confirm who you are. We never ask for bank accounts or sensitive financial information to get started.
We prepare and file your claim
We gather the required documents, complete the Treasury forms, and submit the claim on your behalf.
The Treasury pays you directly
The state Treasury sends payment directly to you, never to us. The money comes from the state, not from a finder.
We receive our agreed fee
Only after you are paid do we receive our agreed percentage, by law, never more than the statutory cap in your state. No recovery, no fee.
